We obtain the products which we cultivate and rear
using organic principles, therefore we don’t use any kind of compost
made of chemical synthesis.
With our fruits: peaches, cherries, pears,
apples, figs, plums, prunes, sour black cherries, apricots, grapes,
persimmon, medlars, we make JAMS and MARMALADES, deserts
and we aromatise the ‘grappa’.
With our vegetables: tomatoes, green beans,
courgettes, pumpkins, celery, aubergines, peppers, cabbages,
broccoli, spinach, beet, radish, melons, water melons etc. we
make typical dishes of natural cuisine, PRODUCTS PRESERVED IN OIL
AND SWEET-SOURS.
With the grapes we make WINE: wines
made from a blend of Barbera and Sangiovese, and a blend of Biancame
and Trebbiano.
With the cereals we produce flour for
traditional fresh pastas, deserts, savoury dishes, soups and
polenta.
We use the pulses for soups and traditional dishes.
We use dried fruits: hazelnuts, almonds,
walnuts, for deserts and a traditional liquor called ‘Nocino’.
We rear pigs for fresh meat and for seasoned
and ‘sausaged’ products: salamis, sausages, ham, ounce, capocolli,
bacons, golette, coppa, pork crackling, flavoured lard and
lard.
We use the chickens, rabbits, geese, lambs,
pigeons, in the preparation of our traditional dishes. We also
like to go collecting fruit, flowers, berries and wild herbs and
grasses (brier-rose, elder, locust tree, blackberry-bush, black
bryony, wild herbs and grasses, asparagus etc.) to prepare
traditional liquors (‘Corniolino’, ‘Propino’, flavoured ‘Grappa’s),
and marmalades and jams (brier-rose, elder).
For some products we turn to Fair Trade. |
